How the Other Half...

...Learns!

Another brilliant personal anecdote from Snuffy.

Worry not: I am not planning to turn this 'blog into a series of links to others' writings; but this is again something we all need to read in order to "re-calibrate our thinking" (as my brother would no doubt put it) on the issue covered.

Trust me: you'll be pleased you read it!

I often have a look at Snuffy's blog; I think she's great, and does a job I wouldn't have the knowledge, nor the courage, to do.

She's quite inspirational, and the latest post is a joy.

Snuffy! Welcome to my 'umble site.

Never be surprised when those of us who (for all our failings) do at least recognise something valuable and important when we encounter it, at least make the minimal effort required to spread the word in our own way.

What those of us in my position do, many of us do well; but few if any of us could do what you do. Tools for the job in hand...

Thankfully, over the years, I have grown big enough to accept that truth, and to attempt (in different ways) to champion what I find good out there in the world beyond my immediate perceptions.

God designed us in our own ways, and placed each of us where we could do the most good, using those skills and talents that we have. In my own case, my meagre talents have been directed in particular ways that I am (just about!) capable of doing at least reasonably well.

He put you where you can do well in your area(s) of expertise, and I get the very strong impression that it was one of His better days when had the brilloiant idea of putting you where you now are. Sheer genius!

I agree entirely with your assessment. Very few of us could do a good job where Snuffy is. "Pegs and holes" comes to mind...
